Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
It is generally accepted that there is no clear, measurable distinction between the practice of counselling and psychotherapy. However, counselling is often used to describe shorter-term courses of support that might focus on one specific area e.g a bereavement or a phobia. Psychotherapy on the other hand may last longer, may be more time intensive, and may explore a range of topics and in more depth.
What is existential counselling?
Existential therapy is a philosophical approach that helps individuals confront life's challenges and uncertainties. It emphasizes personal responsibility, freedom of choice, and the search for meaning. Our approach aims to enhance self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth by addressing existential concerns. If you seek a therapeutic experience that explores the core of human existence, consider our existential therapy services with experienced therapists.
what is integrative therapy?
Integrative therapy, also referred to as integrative psychotherapy or integrative counseling, is an approach that combines elements from different therapeutic modalities and schools of thought to create a personalized and comprehensive treatment for each individual. This therapeutic approach acknowledges that not every client can be effectively treated using a single theory or technique. Instead, it integrates a variety of methods to address the distinct needs of each individual.
