How I Work
My mission is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I believe that the client-therapist relationship is fundamental to the therapeutic process. Therefore, I am interested in getting to know you, hearing about your experiences, relationships, your self-perception and worldview. I am committed to building a trusting and collaborative partnership with each person I work with.
I adopt an integrative approach to my work, drawing on various theoretical approaches including Existentialism, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive-Behavioural theories. I am particularly drawn to the existential framework, a philosophical and psychological approach that examines the individual’s existence, subjective experience, freedom, choice, and the search for meaning in life. This approach assists clients in aligning their choices with their core values and discovering their authentic selves.
With a background in holistic therapy, I understand the importance of addressing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in the healing process and tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs and goal. Providing a non-judgmental, affirmative, and sex-positive space, I welcome individuals from all walks of life, cultures, backgrounds, sexual identities and relationship types.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I practise in alignment with their ethical framework. I have enhanced clearance through the Government’s Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) and I hold full professional liability insurance. I am registered with The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and all client data is stored electronically on password protected drives in accordance with GDPR.
